So today I decided to do a look that could take you from work to play without breaking your bank.
The only higher end product I used was MAC Matchmaster foundation only because it was all I had on hand with me. The others are all drugstore, mostly ELF and NYX, two brands I happen to love! Although I must admit I was severely underwhelmed by the NYX Concealer in a Jar. It's just very dry looking :-(
We were having unusually warm weather here last week but today it was all gloom and doom. Despite the thunder and rain, I felt quite bright and spring-y so I went for that look for daytime with a bright waterline (Avon eyeliner in Green) and Barbie pink lip (made it myself). I didn't use any eyeshadow for the day look but I brought along my NYX eyeshadow base for the nighttime look.
For the night look I smoked out the eye with the muted gray color from the ELF smoky eye palette. I chose to use gray smoke as not to take the attention from the green in the waterline. I wanted the attention to continue to focus there but also give the eye a slightly more sultry look by creating a smoky crease. I also switched blushers using the palette I was sent by a friend (sorry I don't know where it can be bought) using the red-orange one instead of the purple-pink one I had used earlier. And that was it! That took my look from day to night without having to lug too many products around or spend a lot of money!
Btw, I used the ELF 11pc brush set for both looks.
What are you wearing on these gloomy days to help you jump into spring??
Thank you! :-)
